Born April 30, 1927, in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Belvin L. and Bertha Mae (Haas) Seidel and the husband of the late Florence (Myslinski) Seidel.
Gerald retired from the City of Reading Water Department.
In his free time, he was an avid gardener, golfer, fisherman and in his earlier years, was a dancer in the days of swing.
He also attended Reading High School and was a graduate of the class of 1945.
Gerald is survived by his son, Dennis (Kimberly) Seidel of North Versailles; sister, Nancy Seidel Zimmerman of Wyomissing, PA and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Belvin H. Seidel.
