John Collier Dobbs, Sr., 69, of Lamar, MS. went to be with the Lord on December 1st, 2014. He was surrounded by his family at Vanderbilt hospital in Nashville, TN. I met John when we were young and our fathers had wondered what they were going to do with us for the summer. So, they decided to let us spend the summer out at the Dobbs facility that put food on planes out at the Memphis airport. I met john for the first time and we just bonded and I was soon spending the night at his parents house. Over the years he became the best friend I ever had. I hear his voice saying so many important things that served me so well. My life has been so blessed to have him as a friend and I we will see each other again in different place that is not of this earth. God bless Johnny and all of his family. And, Johnny loved Sara and his children with all his heart and soul. May God bless them all. Chris Denton

I am so sorry that you are gone from us. But, you are with the angels in heaven now. I will see your face and talk to you until the day that I am no longer here. I know that you now know all the answers and that your suffering is over. I am so thankful that I was able to meet you and call you a friend. You have been such an influence on my life, I prayed for all of your family on my prayer bench this morning and I will continue to pray for them until I am no longer here. I am sorry that you are gone because I will miss the ability to talk to you and be guided by you, Johnny..you were the most non judgmental friend that I ever had. I cry as I write this. But you will be with me in spirit forever and I hope that I get to see you again in a much better place, God loved you while you were here just as we all did and now you are with Him, Goodbye for now but you will never leave my heart or my prayers I will think of you and see you in my mind forever. And I will still talk to you because I know you are gone from this earth and yet I believe that you can still hear us down here. Amen and To the whole family I am so sorry..
