Joyce was born in Reading on Dec. 20, 1929, a daughter of the late William E. and Mary C. (Schultz) Diemand.
She was the wife of Gustave H. Sperber.
She worked as a dental assistant with Dr. Grimm.
Mrs. Sperber was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Golden Rule Chapter.
Joyce graduated from Reading High School in 1947.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Reading.
Joyce is also survived by a son, Todd W., husband of Judy Sperber, Mertztown.
Also surviving are four grandchildren: Lauren M. Sperber-Maxwell, Erik T., Michelle L. and Christine R. Sperber; two stepgrandchildren, Chris J. and Andrew R. DeCrocker; and a great-granddaughter, Lilly M.
Services will be at Sanders Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1501 N. 11th St., Reading, on Tuesday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Jacqueline Danisvewski officiating. Friends are invited to call Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.

Gus, Todd and Family,
I know I'll think of Joyce often, just as I do remembering Aunt Mary and Uncle Bill. I'll especially miss our exchange of cards. She was a sweetheart!
