Kenneth Hawkins Obituary

Kenneth L. “Peachy” Hawkins, age 89, formerly of Fleetwood, passed peacefully on Wednesday June 22, 2022 at the Southeastern Veterans Home, Spring City, PA. Born in Kutztown the son of the late Leroy Hawkins and Hattie M. (Yerger) Hawkins. Peachy served in the U. S. Army and a veteran of the Korean War serving from 1951 to 1954. First employed by Bowers Battery which became General Battery and retired from Exide Battery after 40 years in 1989. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Fleetwood. Peachy was a member of American Legion Post 217 Topton. He is survived by his cousins. Viewing for Peachy will be Saturday 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM. from the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West main Street, Fleetwood. Inurnment will be Thursday July 7th at 10:30 in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Peachy’s memory to St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 5 West Arch Street, Fleetwood, PA 19522.
