Megan Weaver Obituary
Megan Marie Weaver, 31, of Boyertown, passed away Sunday October 16, 2016 at Jeanes Hospital in Philadelphia after emergency cardiac surgery for repair of a congenital defect. Born in Phoenixville, she was the daughter of W. Douglas and Helen R. (Kelly) Weaver.
Megan was a graduate of Boyertown High School, went on to receive her bachelor's degree from Alvernia University and worked in probations, Parole and Social Services.
Megan volunteered for many organizations and had many hobbies, including sports, painting, making pottery and portraits, and had a love of animals, but most of all loved her family and friends.
Megan was small but her heart was large and giving.
Surviving along with her parents is one brother, Ryan D. Weaver, husband of Rebecca of Philadelphia; one niece, Alexandra Weaver; maternal grandmother, Helen C. Kelly of Limerick; paternal grandmother, Frances E. Weaver of Gilbertsville; godparents, Nora E. Seiler and Keith M.
Weaver; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Megan was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Michael A. Kelly; and paternal grandfather, George R.
Weaver Sr.
A memorial service will be held Thursday October 20, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at New Hanover Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2941 Lutheran Rd., Gilbertsville, PA 19525, with Rev. Wayne Shelor officiating. Interment will be private.
Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Megan's memory to New Hanover Lutheran Church, at the above address. Donations will be collected and shared between New Hanover Lutheran Church in Gilbertsville and Jeanes Hospital in Philadelphia.

My heart goes out to all of Megan's family & friends. I was her tennis coach & teacher in high school. I enjoyed seeing Megan every day & though it's been well over a decade since I've seen her on the courts or answering earth science related assignments, I will forever remember Megan's tightly curled lengthy hair & wonderful personality. Also, I'm very grateful for my two cats that I picked up one day from under the back porch almost 16 years ago. She will always hold a special place in my saddened heart.

I am so, so sorry to have heard the news about Megan. I remember when you had stopped in my office many years ago and I first met her there. I distinctly remember her being so friendly and polite.
