Township, died January 16, 2017 in Berks Heim. He was the husband of Verna E. (Snyder) Krick to whom he was married
65 years.
Robert was born in Perry Township and was the son of the late Irvin and Edith (Mengel) Krick.
He was a 1946 graduate of Hamburg High School.
Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy
during World War II and the Korean War. He later served as a Naval Advisor during the Berlin Airlift.
Robert was employed by Maier's Bakery as a driver/salesman for 36 years, retiring in 1993.
He was a member Becker's St. Peters Church, Fleetwood.
Robert was a member of the Berks and Pennsylvania State Firemen's Association. He was a life member of the Lincoln Park Fire Company where he volunteered for 33 years and was a past recording secretary and assistant fire chief. He was also a past recording secretary for both the Western Berks Fire Company and Berks County Fireman's Association. He was a 10-year volunteer for Meals on Wheels and a member of Pike Township Sportsman Club.
In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by a son,
Robert I. Krick Jr., husband of Donna, Laureldale; a
daughter, Kathie L., wife of Alan Stoner, Lynchburg, Va.; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Staff on A-2, Berks Heim.
Memorial contributions may be made to Becker's St.
Peter's Church, 265 Maidencreek Road, Fleetwood, PA 19522.
Services will be private.
