He was born Jan. 23, 1922, in Philadelphia, a son of the late Morris Teller and Hannah (Alspach) Teller.
He served in the United States Army during World War II, where he was awarded two bronze stars and a Purple Heart for wounds he received on March 14, 1945.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth (Botcheos) Teller.
He retired from the Pennwood School District as a maintenance supervisor.
He was a member of Sellers Memorial Methodist Church in Upper Darby.
He is survived by his two sons, Robert J. Teller Jr., and his wife, Miko, Exeter Township; and Bruce A. Teller, North Ft. Myers, Florida.
There are also five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at the Auman Funeral Home, Reiffton, at 390 W. Neversink Road, Reading, PA 19606, on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Glenwood Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be made at www.aumansinc.com.
