She was the widow of Lester E. Dries, who died December 6, 1996.
Born in Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh County, she was a daughter of the late Herbert P., and Mamie A. (Kuhns) Herman.
She was a member of the Lutheran Congregation of Ziegel's Union Church, Breinigsville.
Mrs. Dries was employed as an assembler by the former Saucony Shoe and Wallet Factory, Kutztown, and the former Reading Shoe Factory, retiring in the early 1960's.
She is survived by a son, Glenn S., husband of Tamara J. (Walker) Dries; granddaughter, Alyssa S. Dries; grandson, Derek S. Dries, all of San Antonio, TX; sisters Myrtle B. (Herman), widow of Lawrence Dietrich, Kutztown; Marie (Herman), widow of Gwen Nelson, Scottsdale, AZ; and brother, Kenneth D., husband of Anna M. (Vargo) Herman, Kutztown.
She was predeceased by sisters Irene M. (Herman) Kern, Violet M. (Herman) Heffner, Marian E. (Herman) Reimert, Althea (Herman) Eisenhart, Betty J. (Herman) Long, Evelyn (Herman) Eltz, and brothers Clair Herman, Russell Herman, Herbert "Johnny" Herman, and Ray Herman.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Reverend Bruce D. MacLaughlin officiating. Interment will follow in Ziegel's Church Union Cemetery, Breinigsville. Friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
