Vincent Banis Obituary

Vincent A. Banis, 83, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late William and Anna (Krol) Banis. VIncent graduated from Central Catholic High School (Class of 1960) and was a veteran of the US Army. He was last employed as a custodian at Kutztown University. Vincent is survived by his brother, Leonard Banis, husband of Karen, of Exeter Township; sister, Jeanette Selmer, wife of Greg, of Muhlenberg Township; nephew, Patrick; nieces: Donna, Theresa, and Margaret; grand nephews, Samuel and Evan; and grand nieces: Sophia and Eleanor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 11:00 am in Holy Guardian Angels RC Church, 3125 Kutztown Road Reading, PA 19605. The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, January 15, 2024 from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 5153 Kutztown Road Temple, PA 19560 . Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Reading. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County at www.berksarl.org or Disabled American Veterans (DAV), P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301 or at www.dav.org. Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
