She was born in Reamstown to the late Paul and Dorothy (Gockley) Sweigart; and was the wife of the late William E. Sebastian Jr. , who passed away in 1970.
Virginia was a 1951 graduate of Ephrata High School. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed going to the casinos and spending time at Tuckahoe Acres in Delaware. She also enjoyed watching the Phillies, Eagles and Sixers.
Virginia is survived by 3 daughters: Deborah Ann, wife of Thomas Henly, of Denver; Roxanne Gail Sebastian, of
Denver; and Pamela Sue McGinley, of Douglassville; a son, William Edwin Sebastian III, husband of Holly, of
Ellendale, Del.; 6 grandchildren: Michelle Fye, James McGinley, John Bricker Jr., Mark Henly, Tiffany Johnson and William Sebastian IV; 5 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Marvin Sweigart, husband of Thelma, of Denver.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was
preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Sweigart.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, from 10 to 11:00 a.m. at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. Funeral services will
follow at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Bradley Haws officiating. Interment will take place in the Memory Gardens
Memorial Cemetery.
