Lindsay Farris Obituary

Lindsay Noel Farris

Lindsay Noel Farris passed away unexpectedly in her home on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.
Lindsay was born on December 21, 1958, in
Monterey, California, to her parents, Don and
Marjorie (Dugger) Farris. As the child of a naval officer, she lived in many places including Guam,
Japan, The Philippines, Maryland, and Florida. Eventually the family planted their roots in Lakeport, California.
In her youth Lindsay enjoyed being a Rainbow Girl, Girl Scout, and horse enthusiast. She graduated from Clear Lake High School and is an alumnus of the Santa Rosa Junior College, Sacramento State University, and earned her master's degree from the University of Phoenix. During her undergraduate years Lindsay became a Social Worker for the County of Lake. Her career evolved and she moved to Rancho Cordova where she retired as a state employee managing Health and Human Services. In her retirement she committed much of her life to her parents and caring for their needs. Family was very important to Lindsay, and she would often spend time in Santa Rosa visiting them. Aside from family, Lindsay's other passions included her photography work, exploring small mining towns panning for gold, and collecting antiques and family heirlooms.
Lindsay is remembered as a caring daughter, sister, aunt, neighbor and friend. She is predeceased by her father, Don Farris, and aunt Carol Dugger. She is survived by her mother,
Marjorie "Jean" Farris (Dugger); brothers, Brent and Todd Farris; nephew, Daniel Farris; niece, Kelley Tobin (Farris); great-niece, Karleigh Tobin; great-nephew, Murphy Tobin; and close cousins,
Anthony, Gianna, and Tia Carotenuto. She will be dearly missed by her best friend, Carol Karuza, and her daughters, Jordan and Jillian Karuza.
Contributions in her memory can be made to St. Brigid's Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 580, Rio Vista, CA 94571
