Michael Elsa Obituary
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Jean Elsa of Lakeport; stepson, Richard Wayment and wife Stephanie of Lakeport, whom he referred to as "the kids;" and three grandchildren, Braiden, Tori and Liam Wayment. Mike thought "Grandpa" was one of the best words he had ever heard. Mike is also survived by brothers, Jim Elsa (Nancy) of Santa Rosa, Bob Elsa (Teresa) of Clearlake, Bill Elsa of San Bruno, and Dennis Elsa (Jill) of Lakeport; sister, Sharon Thompson of Lakeport; brother-in-law, Mark McMahon (Lisa) of Arkansas; sister-in-law, Marilyn Kinzer of Salinas; and aunts, many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.
Mike was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed.
At his request, no services will be held.
Donations may be made in Mike's name to Hospice Services of Lake County or The American Cancer Society.

Michael... You will truly be missed. Thank you so much for being a part of all of our lives, but thank you most of all for being a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather for my friend, Jean, and her son, Rich, and his children. You truly blessed their lives. Who knew that a son could pick a mate so well for his Mother???

As we pass through this life, certain people are given to us to touch our hearts, how truly blessed we were, to be able to call Mike Elsa our friend.
I think everyone knew him best for his kind heart, big smile, love of family, and most of all his sense of humor. Indeed a very special human being...goodbye Mike we will truly miss you!

Mike was one of those people that could relate to everyone via his wonderful sense of humor. His quick wit was a gift that not many people have. He was a wonderful dad, grandpa and husband. It's hard to find a man that is a combination of all those things. You made a great impact on many people. Thank you for being in our lives..

I feel so blessed to have known Mike. He was a truly wonderful man. His humor always made me smile and working with him was always fun. He will be missed by all that knew him. Mike fought a long fight and I truly beleive his positive attitude and the love he shared with Jean is what kept him with us!

My memories of Mike are from the time that he worked with my mother (Doris Hamlin)at the telephone company. I have many photos of them with their friends in Hawaii, He was a good friend to them all.
