Evelyn Lewis Obituary

SOUTHINGTON - Evelyn M. (Jacobson) Lewis, 89, passed away on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at Mulberry Gardens in Plantsville. She was the wife of the late Richard H. Lewis, Sr.

Evelyn was born on Nov. 1, 1923, in Northford, and was the daughter of the late Hilmer Joseph and Alice Ella (Pierpont) Jacobson.

She is survived by her children, Ellamay Dion, of Tennessee, Shirley Gralnick, of Southington, Richard Lewis, Jr., and wife, Joan, of Wallingford and Albert Lewis and wife, Sandra, of Southington; 9 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren. Evelyn was predeceased by three brothers, Clifford, Harold, and Irving Jacobson; a sister, Ella Fanning; and a grandson, Eric Mansfield Lewis.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 9 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
