It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Henry Bohn, Jr., 79 on May 16, 2024 in his hometown Stratham, New Hampshire. Born in New Haven, CT to the late Henry Bohn, Sr. and Edna Sammis Bohn, he was the eldest of four and grew up in Hamden, CT. Henry attended Notre Dame High School and then Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and became a pharmacist. After having his children in MA, the family moved back to CT and he worked in his parents pharmacy in North Haven, Broadway Pharmacy. Later, Henry moved to New Hampshire where he became a Respiratory Therapist and worked up until his illness at Exeter Hospital.
Henry, Hank, Henly was an avid fan of ALL sports, music, the beach, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Especially during the holidays and entertaining with friends.
Henry leaves behind his wife of 11 years, Deb Stone Bohn, daughter Christine (Joe) Mirra, Wallingford, son and namesake, Henry Bohn III of Branford. Grandchildren Joe, Steven (fiancée, Camryn Christensen) of Wallingford and Skylar Bohn, Guilford. His sisters Katherine Beck of Fla. and Regina Bohn of Meriden and brother-in-law Hubert Chidsey, along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Beverly Chidsey.
There will be a Celebration of Life at Hammonasset Beach State Park, Henry's favorite place to "relax" on October 5, 2024, 11-3 p.m. Pavilion 4 at Hammonasset Beach
