Marcel LaBrie Obituary
Born in Meriden on Aug. 11, 1985, he was the son of Margo (LaBrie) Pellows, of Meriden and Robert Greenlaw, of Southington and had resided in Meriden his whole life. He was a graduate of Wilcox Technical School, attended Naugatuck Valley Community College and was employed by Energy Resource Group Technology. He enjoyed playing the guitar.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Berthe LaBrie; paternal grandparents, John and Jane Greenlaw; stepmother, Heidi Greenlaw; stepfather, Douglas Pellows; two sisters, Maggie Pellows, of Meriden and Bethany Greenlaw, of Southington; two brothers, DJ Pellows, of Meriden and Donovan Greenlaw, of Southington; and many cousins, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Roland LaBrie.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Friday, Sept. 24, at 7 p.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, with the Rev. James Olsen of Center Congregational Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Marcel, I miss you so much more n more everyday. ill never forget the times we spent together and the music you played. Everytime i close my eyes i can hear the heaven of you voice and picture you playing the guitar. I cant wait tell we can all pay again at the pearly gates. Noone will ever replace the spot in my heart from you. You truly were one in a million... Many nights I have spent with you and our buddies, chillin out by the bon fire singing "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (even though it was totally off-tune) I will always have the memories we made to keep my chin held high. You were one of the only people that would be able to name any movie with the drop of a hat (one thing I will miss most about you being gone) But don't worry buddy, you might not be here anymore but I know where ever you are you are looking down at me hummin and strummin away...and I have one thing to say to that... RIP Marcel... I remember all the times we hung out together... and all the memorys I have with all of our friends... like the time I stole the Dunkin Donut Donuts, and you got the McDonald's burgers, we had some really great times and I will always think of them when I think of you... you and your family are in my prayers... I'm sorry to hear about Marcel, I used to work with him at Competitive Resources. He was a great person and he will be deeply missed. I'm just glad that I had the chance to meet and get to know him. We had alot of good times spending our lunch breaks at guitar stores jamming out.
