Michael Manware Obituary

SOUTHINGTON - Michael J. (Mickey) Manware, 81 of Southington passed away on Sunday, Feb., 18, 2018 at the HCC at Bradley Memorial. He was the husband of Ann (Trillo) Manware for 61 years. He claimed that he won the lotto when he met Ann.

Born March 30, 1936 in New Britain, he was the son of the late Eugene and Julia (Nemic) Manware. Michael was a member of the Southington Elks Club, the Redmens Club and Local Union IBEW 457. Mickey had a love for gardening and would supply vegetables for the town of Southington. He did not miss a Yankee or UConn women's basketball game. Mickey will always be remembered for his kind heart and love for his family and friends. He had nicknames for everyone in his life and that meant he loved you dearly.

Besides his wife, he is  survived by his children, Michael Manware and wife, Jennifer, of Southington, Betsy Manware and Maryann, of New York, Patricia Lynn Norton and Craig, of Meriden and Peter Manware and Nora Beth, of Plantsville; a brother, Eugene Manware  and Marion, of Southington; two sisters, Patricia Salerno and Carol Brunalli  and John, all of Southington; five grandchildren, Nathan, Justin, Nicholas, Cayla and Olivia; three great-grandchildren, Lily, Eli and Rosie; his grand dogs, Lincoln, Lilly, Georgie and Phoenix. He also leaves his brother-in-law, Alphonse Trillo; and a sister- in -law, Geraldine Trillo, of Bristol; his Uncle, James and Aunt Sadie Manware, of Southington; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Ralph Salerno.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hospital of Central CT at Bradley ER for   their efforts and care. A special thank-you to Susan Beaulanger for her love and care for Mickey. Also a special thank –you to caregivers Ferkerte Meriam and Prudence Edgar.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to St. Thomas Church for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m. Donations may be made in his memory to Living Well formerly the Alzheimer's Resource Center, 1261 South Main St. Plantsville, CT  06479 or the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.For online condolences and directions please visit, www.dellavecchiafh.com.
