Tom Barberino Obituary

WALLINGFORD - Tom Barberino Jr., age 45, of Seymour, entered into eternal peace on August 3, 2018, after many years of struggles during his quest for peace.

Tom was born in Middletown on February 20, 1973. He was raised and attended school in Wallingford. Tom worked at Barberino Nissan for 20 years showcasing his exceptional computer skills. He was recently self-employed, again, in a field where he excelled with his computer, technology, and driving skills. Tom was an avid music lover, especially for such artists as Prince and Pink Floyd. Tom and his girlfriend shared this passion and attended countless concerts together. He was also a movie buff and enjoyed watching all types of movies from comedy, and action to superheroes, and horror. He had a soft spot for his cats, and for children. He always gave the perfect "Uncle" gifts from drum sets to American girl dresses to season passes to amusement parks.

Tom is survived by his father: Tom Barberino Sr. of Wallingford; mother: Kathleen Osora of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and step-mother: Louise Barberino of Wallingford. He is also survived by his sisters: Michelle Barberino of Meriden, Melissa (Barberino) Lozano of Houston, TX, Brittany (Barberino) Gormley of Meriden, and Blair Barberino of Brooklyn, NY. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Ashley Dyer, Gabriella Dearborn, Antonio Lozano, Nico Lozano, Emilio Lozano, Andrea Lozano, William Barberino and Lux Barberino. Tommy will be forever missed and loved by all, especially by his longtime girlfriend, Amanda Estell of Seymour.

Tom is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Peter and Mae (Velardi) Barberino, his paternal aunt Christine (Barberino) Bango, paternal uncle Peter Barberino III, and cousin Peter Barberino IV.

Calling hours will be held at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St. in Wallingford, on Saturday, August 11, 2018, from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. The funeral procession will leave for a Mass of Christian burial which will be celebrated at 11:30 AM at Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Rd in Wallingford. Interment to follow at St. John's Cemetery in Wallingford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of one's choice.
