Eleanor Burakiewicz Obituary

GREENFIELD - Eleanor M. (Felix) Burakiewicz, 91, a lifelong resident of Greenfield, died Wednesday (2-20-13) at Charlene Manor Extended Care Facility.
She was born in Greenfield on March 3, 1921, the daughter of George and Georgia (Jacobs) Felix. Eleanor attended local schools in Greenfield and was a graduate of Greenfield High School.
She was a homemaker and a member of the former First Baptist Church in Greenfield.
Eleanor enjoyed activities and visits with friends and family, gardening and reading.
Among her survivors, Eleanor leaves three sons, Edward S. Burakiewicz, Jr. of Greenfield, James Burakiewicz and his wife Maureen of Greenwood, IN, and Peter Burakiewicz and his wife Terry of Northfield; six grandchildren, Dylan Burakiewicz and his wife Heather, Matthew Burakiewicz and his wife Suzette, Andrew Burakiewicz and his wife Megan and Ashleigh, Erika and Caitlin Burakiewicz; one great-granddaughter, Elaina Scott-Burakiewicz, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward S. Burakiewicz, Sr., on June 7, 2006.
A graveside service at Green River Cemetery will be held at a date and time to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Warm the Children, P.O. Box 1367, Greenfield, MA 01301, The Salvation Army, 72 Chapman St., Box 346, Greenfield, MA 01301 or Hospice of Franklin County, 329 Conway St., Suite 2, Greenfield, MA 01301.
