Gregg Williams Obituary
Athol, MA - On Friday August 18, 2023 Gregg O. Williams, 36, walked into his mother's arms as he passed from this life to the next while doggedly fighting an unexpected illness that proved relentless.
Gregg was born July 1, 1987 in Gardner and grew up in Orange for many years before living across the Western Mass area as a teen with a number of foster care families. Despite many hurdles early in life, Gregg graduated from Mahar and went on to earn a Masters Degree in business from Fitchburg State University with which he secured jobs working for many Fortune 500 companies. Throughout his life, Gregg collected and curated a vast network of family, friends, and colleagues with a variety of backgrounds and he valued them all. His work often sent him throughout the country but his favorite was always Arizona where he could visit with his cousins Hannah and Seth who he cherished dearly.
He enjoyed his free time with his boys, working out, darts and pool, playing games and sports of all types. Sometimes you'd swear he was a ESPN announcer, the way he would recall Boston Sports stats. His relentless spirit and passion for life will be carried on by all those who got to know the man affectionately called "G$".
Gregg is survived by his father "Hollywood" Gregg Williams, brothers Anton and Jacob, and many close family members and friends including his beloved dachshund Roxanne.
Gregg joins his late mother Linda Sheridan and his paternal grandmother Rita who passed in 2009 and 2022 respectively.

My heart goes out to the whole family and to friends who knew Gregg. I had the opportunity to meet this young man through a friend connection on his father´s side. I recall the positive energy and light that he exuded. It was unmistakable. I feel fortunate to have known Gregg if only for a brief moment. My deepest and most sincere sympathies to everyone who knew and loved him.
