Jennifer Jarvis Obituary

Jennifer Grace Jarvis

Greenfield, MA - It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Jennifer Grace Jarvis, daughter of Patricia Jarvis (nee Hayward) and Mark Jarvis. She is survived by her mother Patricia, brother Matthew and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jenny was kind and openhearted. If someone needed help, she was always there to lend support.

Jenny brought a hands-on approach to her many interests and endeavors. She loved gardening, raising ducks and chickens, doing home renovations and for the past several years, providing dedicated care for her Uncle Joe.

One of her many talents was taking used trucks and cars, restoring them to working order and to the delighted consternation of her family, usually had two or three vehicle projects going at the same time. She derived much joy from rehabbing those vehicles.

In addition, Jenny was an incredible artist and started painting at an early age. She graduated from Greenfield Community College, attended the San Francisco Art Institute and had a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts.

Jenny was born on August 30, 1978 and died June 10, 2024.

I was awestruck about your toughness that obviously disguised a very sensitive heart. Godspeed Traveler. You will be remembered.

I used to live next door to the Jarvis family. They were so sweet, Patty and her husband always greeted me and asked how I was.
I was in college, and I would often see Jenny playing out in the flower filled yard. She was full of smiles at that age!
My heart breaks hearing this news, I'm just so sorry.
Knowing her family, it is no surprise that she filled her world with love, caring and compassion for others.
Sending love to her Mom, Patty, and the rest of Jennifer's wonderful family at this sad time.

Patty, Uncle Joe and family,
My heart hurts for you. Jen was so devoted to her Uncle Joe. She was a strong advocate for him, making sure he was getting everything he needed. I am sure she is experiencing this transition to another realm as a beautiful adventure. Her spirit and vibrant energy surrounds us. It's not gone, it's just different. I wish you all comfort and peace.

I worked with Jen and her mother at Buckley Healthcare. Jen was always in the midst of an adventure! She saw me walking years after we left work and thoughtfully turned her car around to say hello and catch up. What horrific news. Your heart must b broken Patty.

I knew Jennifer as "Grace", which I think was her middle name. We met when we were both in massage therapy school, she was a year above me, but we ended up talking some how. My first impression of Grace was that she was the most beautiful young woman I had ever met, and I wished that I could have been as pretty as her! But soon, I realized that Grace was not focused on her appearance at all, she just happened to be beautiful, and the place that she lived from was her open mind and gentel heart. I was blessed to have a close friendship with her for about 8 years. She went out of her way to meet me places, or to visit me, always bringing a small surprise gift. In her presence, I felt like I was actually on an adventure that day- just driving to a swimming hole, for example, with her felt expansive, like anything could happen, we were completely in the moment, soaking up the beauty of life. Grace's generosity, open mindedness, and gentle heart, in those 8 years from about 2004-2012, taught me so much about how to live. She was a teacher and friend. I know in my heart her beautiful journey continues for her gentel soul, and I hope she is receiving all the love in the universe, which she absolutely deserves forever. I love you, Grace!
