John Byron Obituary
He was born in Hadley, the son of the late John S. Byron Sr. and Barbara (Forbes) Byron.
John graduated from Hopkins Academy and American International College in Springfield with a bachelor's degree. He then went on to receive his master's degree and CAGS from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
John was a longtime school administrator for many area schools prior to his retiring.
John will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, papa and friend.
A private memorial service with burial in Olde Hadley Cemetery will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions in John's memory can be made to the St. Augustine Indian Mission, Mission Road, Winnebago, NE 68071.
The Czelusniak Funeral Home of Northampton has been entrusted with arrangements.

Worked with John at Marks Meadow in Amherst. he was a good team leader, excellent with students, a lot of fun. Flo, John and I were a good team. Condolences to Mary and her children and to John's siblings. It has been a good many years buthappy memories.

You have our sympathy. We only knew John for 10 years, what a great friend. We always had a good time together, whether playing golf, cards or just loafing with a "cold one". His laugh will be missed by everyone, for a long time.
