Meaghan Horan Obituary
She was born the daughter of Vivia M. (Huang) and Dennis J. Horan on July 1, 1996 in Seattle, Washington. Meg was educated locally in Turners Falls and was a sophomore at Greenfield High School.
Miss Horan was an athlete playing field hockey for the Greenfield High School Green Wave. She played the flute in the high school band and loved music. In her free time she could be found listening to music, drawing or on her computer. She was a young lady who could make even the most hardened person smile. She was fun loving, compassionate and a jokester. Being with family and friends made Meg happy. Her smile would brighten up a room. Anyone who met Meaghan was touched by her. She was just a wonderful person.
Meaghan is survived by her siblings, Samantha H. Horan of Greenfield and Brendan J. Horan of Greenfield. She leaves her grandparents, James D. and Helen P. Horan of Greenfield. Meaghan is also survived by her aunts and uncles; Kathleen Wallitis and her husband Rob of Greenfield, Terry M. Suchanek and her husband Dick of Greenfield and Maryann Bonnette and her husband Bruce of Hinsdale, New Hampshire. In addition she leaves cousins, extended family and numerous friends. She is predeceased by her mother, Vivia M. Horan who passed on October 30, 2001 and her father Dennis J. Horan who passed on March 21, 2012 and her uncle Michael Horan.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls, MA 01376. A mass will be given on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church, 133 Main St., Greenfield, MA 01301.
Burial will be private in the family lot.
Flowers will gladly be accepted. However, the family would prefer donations be made in memory of Meaghan H. Horan to: Greenfield High School Field Hockey, 1 Lenox Ave., Greenfield, MA 01301.
Services are under the direction of Cheshire Family Funeral Homes, 46 South Winchester St., West Swanzey, NH 03446. www.cheshirefamilyfh.com.

My daughter and son new Meaghan as friends, and as students at Greenfield High School. It is a tragic loss, and I wish the family well. We are certainly thinking of you Meaghan and you will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. God bless.

I know I didn't know her all that well, but I did play field hockey with her at IAS and I knew who she was, we weren't close but we did talk. I'm thinking of her family and how hard this must be for you guys. I will miss meaghan next season.

To Meaghan's family, I am So sorry for your loss. I knew Meaghan because she was a friend of my son's and she spent some time at our house. I loved when she came over, as she was always such a pleasure, so sweet and open. We will miss her. I can only imagine how hard this is for you and I hope you find support in each other during this very sad time.

Babygirl, you are so loved and so missed. I know you are happy now with both your Mom and Dad but know that we still wish you were here. Akeeva loves and misses you and is heartbroken that you are gone. But now, Heaven has another angel. You will forever be in our hearts. Rest easy Meaghan.
