Jeri Rouch Obituary

Jeri Lee Rouch born in North Bend, OR on March 8, 1945 and gained her beautiful wings on November 22, 2021. She joined her parents Edwin Stanley Rouch and Leona Helen Rouch (Toni) and many loved ones into internal life.
She move to Kingsburg, Ca when she was 8 months old with her parents and grandparents (Rouch's Ranch) for a short time, until they made their home on the family sawmill in Springville, Ca. Eventually moving to Porterville where she attended school and graduated in 1963 from Porterville High School.
She is survived by her children Bobby Royce Buckmaster (Dawn), Robin Lee Buckmaster Lewis (Don), Linda Therese Baker (Dennis). Grandchildren Victoria Christine Santoyo, Elijah Manuel Santoyo, and Royce Edwin Buckmaster. Brothers Jim Rouch and Tom Rouch. Niece Kim Batty.
She attended Porterville College and graduated with her AA, then transferred to Fresno State where she majored in English. During this time she was a student teacher at St. Ann's. She then owned and operated the Badge Inn in the 1970's. In the late 1970's and early 1980's she was the cafeteria manager at Munson Saltana School.
She emerged herself when she retired into charitable work through Daughters of the Nile and Eastern Star. ?? She visited multiple Shriners/Children's Hospitals, which the two organizations supported.
Jeri's love for the mountains and the Upper Tule Community where she was deeply rooted was like no other. She told many stories of growing up in Springville on the sawmill where the rodeo grounds are now, Camp Nelson, and Sequoia Crest.
We will be celebrating her life on December 16, 2021 11:00am at the Porterville Memorial Building on Olive Ave. Our family warmly requests that all donations be made to the Shriners Hospitals.

Jeri was my 'sister' when I lived with the Rouch family 1962-63. I was the American Field Service Exchange Student at Porterville Union High School that year. Jeri will be sadly missed. My love to her family and friends.
