Acampo, CA
Sept. 10, 1916 - November 2, 2007
Born September 10, 1916 in Holesopple, PA and locating in this area at the age of 7, Elda Manna lost an 11-year battle with cancer Friday, November 2, 2007. She was the widow of the late Chris Manna, whose 61-year marriage began and ended at their Acampo residence. Elda was the devoted mother of Marlene (Robert Oehler) of Sacramento, Elida (Earl Harris) of Woodbridge and Mike Manna (Lisa) of Acampo; the proud grandmother of Kelli Jacobs (Terry Hudspeth), Valerie Jacobs (Sergio Salvetti), Matt and Marisa Manna and the late Chuck Oehler (Sonja); a loving great-grandmother to Justine and Ryan Oehler, Tucker and Hayden Hudspeth and Giordano and Marco Salvetti, and she will be dearly missed by sister-in-law, Irene Garnero and cousins, Victor Bonora and Nora Mastrine. Elda's love for all her children, grandchildren and great-grand-children, her kitchen, her vegetable and flower gardens, her hugs and kisses, her passion for sports and games of chance. Her sincerity in everything she said or did will forever bring a silent smile from the heart of family and friends. Friends are invited for closed casket visitation on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Donahue Funeral Home, 123 North School Street, Lodi. Funeral service will be private. Remembrances are preferred to Hospice of San Joaquin County, 3888 Pacific Avenue, Stockton 95204.

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
