Ramona Townlin Page

Ramona (Mona) Townlin Page passed away on October 5, 2017, at home surrounded by her loving family. Mona was born May 5, 1934 in Harelton, TX to Buford John and Ada Rae Townlin. The family moved to Pine Grove, then to Stockton, California in 1937 where her brother Roger was born a few years later. Mona's father passed away when she was 12, and she became a surrogate mom to Roger when their widowed mother took several jobs to support the family.
Mona attended Stockton High and Stockton Jr. College where she was active in Ree Club and orchestra. She was also active in the Faith Baptist Church youth group choir. In later years, she was active in the First United Methodist bible study group in Lodi.
As an adult, Mona worked several jobs, including Dohrmans Department Store in the late 1950's where she met her husband of 57 years, Norman Page. She became a stay-at-home mom and was very active as a PTA volunteer at both Tokay Colony School and Tokay High School. She enjoyed attending school functions and sports events that her children were involved in and later when her grandchildren came along, she continued to enjoy attending their events. One of her favorite activities was spending time with family and friends, camping at Schaad Ranch and around the Sierras. Mom was the ultimate gracious hostess, and always had room at the table for last minute guests. She hosted holidays and Sunday dinners for her large extended family for many years.
Mona is survived by her husband Norm, her children; Jim (Stacey) Houston, Tami Page, Teri (John) Duecker, Tim (Sherry) Page, step-daughters Margie (Tim) Rued and Colleen (Fred) Willmann. She is predeceased by her son, John Houston. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 10, at 1:00 pm at Cherokee Memorial Park in the Vineyard Chapel. 14165 N. Beckman Rd. Lodi. Donations can be made in her name to Lifeguard Hospice, 5976 West Las Positas Blvd, #106, Pleasanton, CA 94588.
