Robert "Bud" Levern Cluff
June 30, 1929 - April 16, 2009
Robert "Bud" Cluff, 79, passed away at his home on April 16, 2009 with his family at his side.
He was born to Rollie and Bessie Cluff on June 30, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri. At an early age, his family moved from Missouri, eventually settling in Woodland. Bud served his country in the Army during the Korean War.
Bud and his wife Evelyn (Favero) raised their family in the rural areas of Stockton, Waterloo and Lodi and have resided on Copperopolis Road since 1967. Bud worked as a truck driver for more than 45 years for various area trucking firms, and retired in 1995 from Fredrickson's Trucking.
Bud was preceded in death by brothers Dale, Charles, and Darryl, and his sister Jean (Dodge). He is survived by his wife Evelyn, daughter Katherine (Ralph) Risso, son Robert "Bob" Cluff, stepdaughters Judy Wood, Patricia Olive, and Linda Lapp; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. Bud is also survived by his brother R. E. "Buck" Cluff of Everett, Washington, and sister Glenda Killingsworth of Hurst, Texas, and numerous nephews and nieces, as well as many other family and friends.
He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and RV camping at Stony Gorge for many years. He also found great pleasure in visiting flea markets and yard sales. He eventually started a business, "Robert's Collectibles", and could be found many weekends at area flea markets looking for and reselling his treasures and antiques.
Friends and family are invited to a Graveside Service at Rural Cemetery, 2350 Cemetery Lane, Stockton, on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 1 p.m. Visitation will be at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California Street, Stockton, on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
