Tony Rocha, passed away Monday, July 9, 2007 at home at the age of 63. He was born June 10, 1944 in Gilroy, California and was a resident of Escalon for 57 years. He worked for Gehrig Component Framing in Tracy for 14 years, and he really felt that they were a part of his extended family. He also was a partner with his dad in the dairy business in Escalon. He loved to fish, loved to spend time with Paula and the rest of his family, gardening, and riding his mule Roan Star who he had for 31 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, American Mule Association, Back Country Horseman-Mid Valley Unit and the Escalon Fair Boosters.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Jack Rocha and his brother, Ron Rocha. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Paula; his mother, Aileen Rocha of Escalon; children, Shawn and his wife, Tia Rocha of Stockton, Ted and his wife, Sophia Rocha of Orange County, Jack Rocha of Modesto, Kathleen Lial of Escalon, John Michael Lial of Escalon and Vincent "Vinny" Rocha of Escalon; sister, Deby and her husband, Tony Faria of Escalon; grandchildren, Taylor, Christian, and Brooks Rocha of Orange County; John Paul Lial of Escalon, Madison Rocha of Stockton and Vicente Gonzalez of Escalon.
Visitation willl take place on Sunday, July 15, 2007 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Deegan Funeral Chapel, Escalon. Rosary/ Mass will be held on Monday, July 16, 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Hwy 120, Escalon. Committal at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Escalon. Memorials can be sent to John Tracy Clinic for the Deaf, 806 W. Adams Blvd., Attn: Karla Ness, Los Angeles, CA 90007.

Paula -
I just learned about your loss today when I returned to work, so I'm so sorry to be late in offering condolences. Please remind yourself everyday that you did everything in your power for Tony, and that he knew and trusted in that. Please remember that you have friends that truly love & care for you - don't be afraid to lean on us!

Our thoughts are with the entire Rocha family at this sad time.This is not the end of life but the beginning of a final journey.Its a sad time but at the same time rejoice for Tony's peace and tranquility.
