Alfred 53 Obituary
Alfred J. Santisteban of Ellenville, a resident for 30 years, and a heavy equipment operator for the N.Y.C. Thruway Authority at the Middletown Station, died April 17, 2008 at the Kingston Hospital. He was 53.
The son of Alfredo and Zoila R. Castillo Repto, he was born November 12, 1954 in San Jose, Costa Rica.
He was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa Rodriguez Santisteban, at home; two daughters, Rosanna Santisteban of Ellenville, and Melissa Santisteban of Costa Rica; one son, Manuel Santisteban of Costa Rica; his parents, of Costa Rica; his grandmother; two stepdaughters, Maribel Lee of Newport News, VA, and Meritza Lockett of Middletown, NY; two stepsons, Benjamin Irizarry of New York City and Juan Irizarry of Kingston, NY; sisters: Elba, Maria and Anna; brother, Mario Enrica; grandchildren: Michaella, Omar, Alvin, Benjamin, Miguel, Ramon, Zavier, Nevaeh, Jenice, Richard, Bryan, Regina, and several in Costa Rica; great-grandchildren: Alvin Jr., Sophia, Taniya, and Russon; several nieces and nephews, and his extended family in Costa Rica. He is predeceased by a stepdaughter, Awilda Irizarry.
Friends may call at the Loucks Funeral Home, Inc., 79 N. Main St., Ellenville, NY, on Wednesday, April 23, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, in the funeral home with the Rev. Alex Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be in Fantinekill Cemetery, Ellenville, NY.
