Anthony R. "Nonnie" Pagano, 53, of Samnida Way, Marlboro, NY, died Saturday, July 12, 2008 at home surrounded by his loving family, he was a lifelong area resident.

Born in Newburgh, NY on April 15, 1955, he was the son of the late Rosario Sam and the late Ida (Cervoni) Pagano. Mr. Pagano married JoMaria Biengardo.

He was a 30-year member of Laborers Local 79 in NYC.

He is survived by his wife, JoMaria (Biengardo) Pagano; one daughter, Samantha M. Pagano of Marlboro; two sons, Anthony R. Pagano, Jr. of Marlboro and Christopher J. Pagano of Marlboro; two sisters, Olivia Pagano of California and Sandra Larkin of Florida; mother-in-law, Madeline Consorti Ladeuix; brothers-in-law, Joseph Biengardo of Marlboro and Vance Biengardo of Marlboro.

He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Michael Larkin; father-in-law, Pierre Ladeuix; sister-in-law, Anne Biengardo and sister-in-law, Danielle Ladeuix.

Nonnie was an ardent sports fan. He loved the New York Yankees and the New York Giants.

He was involved in local sports for many years. He was a beloved baseball and softball coach; Marlboro Youth Equipment Manager; Mentor to many coaches for softball and C.Y.O. Coach for 2002 Eastern Regional Softball State Champs. Nonnie was the organizer of Marlboro Girl's Fall ball and coach for five years. Nonnie was St. Mary's Marlboro C.Y.O. Girl's Basketball coach for five years.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro, NY.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 12 noon with the Rev. M.X. Gnanadhas officiating.

Cremation will be at the convenience of the family.
