Daniel Gildea Obituary

Formerly of Port Jervis, N.Y.

Daniel Peter Gildea II, 68, of Bushkill, Pa., formerly of Port Jervis, died Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at home.

He was a Foreign Securities Exchange Officer for HSBC in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Mr. Gildea was a member of AOH of America and volunteered for PEEC, Dingman's Ferry, Pa.

The son of Daniel Peter Gildea and Catherine (Byrne) Gildea, he was born in Manhattan, N.Y. on June 19, 1937.

Survivors include two sons, Francis Bays Gildea of Middletown, and Daniel Peter Gildea III of Port Jervis; one brother, Edward Gildea and one sister, Josephine McGarry, both of the Bronx; one granddaughter; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 307 Ave. F, Matamoras, Pa., with the Rev. August Ricciardi officiating.

Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations may be made to the Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC), RR2, Box 1010, Dingman's Ferry, PA 18328.

Arrangements were made by the Stroyan Funeral Home, Inc., 405 W. Harford St., Milford, Pa.
