Josephine Katherine Tousey

Greenville - Josephine Katherine Tousey, formerly of Warwick and Brooklyn, died on October 14, 2007 at home. She was 88 years old.

Born on November 13, 1918 in Locust Valley, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Frances Feleppa Bozzello. She was married to the late Ralph Tousey (1996).

Mrs. Tousey was a Clerk with AT & T, Brooklyn, a member of the Warwick Seniors Club and the Greenville Seniors Club. She was a parishioner of Holy Cross R.C. Church, South Centerville.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Tousey Shapiro and her husband, Howard I. Shapiro, of Greenville; her grandson, David Shapiro; a step-granddaughter, Dina Fried and her husband, Tal; two step great-grandchildren: Alexandria Fried and Annalise Fried; two brothers: Charles Bozzello and Joseph Bozzello; four sisters: Philamena Bozzello Cekala, Dolly Bozzello Lombardi, Marion Bozzello Baker and Aggie Bozzello Vitcritti; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter, Pamela Tousey; a granddaughter, Claire Josephine Shapiro; her brothers: Louis Bozzello, Anthony Bozzello and John Bozzello, and a sister, Teresa Bozzello Hinton.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 16, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Holy Cross R.C. Church, 626 County Route 22, South Centerville. Interment will follow in Locust Valley Cemetery, Locust Valley, N.Y.
