Sigrid Rebhan, 87, passed away peacefully on April 23rd 2021 at her Masten Lake, NY, home surrounded by her friends Renate Wangerin and Ilona Langer. Sigrid was born in Bavaria, Germany.
In 1960 she met Martin Rebhan and moved to New York where they got married. Sigrid and Martin worked together in a bakery in Rye, NY, where they befriended two young ladies, Ilona Langer and Renate Wangerin who were also of German descent. In 1972, Sigrid, Martin, Ilona and Renate moved to Sullivan County, NY and they all worked at Kutsher's Country Club where Martin was a baker. Martin passed away in 1976 and Sigrid, Renate and Ilona have continued to live together as a family.
Sigrid developed cancer in 2017 and fought a brave battle until the end. She was under Hospice care from June 2020 until April 23, 2021 when she lost her brave fight to this deadly disease. Sigrid is not suffering anymore and is resting in peace now.
Sigrid leaves behind her family Renate, Ilona and Tia, her beloved dog, who gave Sigrid unconditional love, company and support. Our sincere and heartfelt Gratitude to all the nurses and staff of Hospice of Sullivan County especially Brandy for always being there for Sigrid.
Rest in Peace dear Sigrid. You are gone but you will forever live in our hearts and never be forgotten.
Memorial services will be private.
