Theresa Paulik

Theresa Paulik, 78, of Pine Island died at her home on Monday March 8, 2010.

Born in Mezofalva, Hungary she was the daughter of the late Johan and Anna Mattesz Czimmer.

Theresa immigrated to the United States from Germany in 1951 and had been a resident of Sussex County for 20 years prior to moving to Pine Island 5 years ago.

Theresa work as a bakery package operator for Nabisco Company in Fair Lawn, NJ for 25 years retiring in the early 1990's. Through her employment with Nabisco she was a member of the bakers and confection union. After retirement she enjoyed caring for her family and was know as an excellent cook. She was a former member of St. Stephen's Church in Passaic, NJ.

She was predeceased by her dear companion, Charles Lazier; a brother, Johan Czimmer; a sister, Mary Sudar; her former husband, Julius Paulik. She is survived by her children, sons: John Paulik and his wife, Lenore of Warwick, NY, Danny Paulik and his wife, Christine of Hamburg, NJ, Tom Paulik of Denver, CO; a daughter, Maryann Paulik of Clinton, NJ; a sister, Clara Hujber of Germany; five grandchildren and two nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Mary Mellan of Highland Lakes, NY; additional nephews, Joe Mellan and his wife, Shirley of Glen Spey, NY and Edward Mellan of Highland Lakes, NY.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday, March 13, at 10 a.m. at the Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home 241 Rt. 94 Vernon, NJ. Interment to follow at Clove Cemetery in Wantage.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
