Michael Baldi Obituary

Michael Baldi, 65, of McCloud, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2013. His loving wife, Trudy Baldi, 63, passed away one week later on May 14, 2013.

He was born to Mary Baldi and the late Pete Baldi in Weed, January 6, 1948 and lived in McCloud all of his life. Mike graduated from McCloud High School and he volunteered to serve his country in the army. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam war and went on to study at the College of the Siskiyous.

Mike worked for the McCloud River Lumber Company and California Cedar Products for a total of 40 years. He loved to fish and spent many a day on the local lakes and reservoirs with his nephew Scott and his many fishing buddies.

Mike is survived by his mother, Mary Baldi of McCloud; his sisters, Rosalie D'Amico of Bellevue, Washington and Mary B. Davis of Jackson, Mississippi; his nephew, Scott Ramirez of Weed, CA; his nieces, Lisa Whittaker of Bellevue, Washington, Tiffany Altobelli of Westminster, Massachusetts, and Kim Hall of Homewood, Alabama; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mike was a loving husband, a caring son, a wonderful brother and uncle and a great friend. He was a consummate story teller and will be remembered for his colorful stories about growing up in McCloud, which made everyone laugh no matter how many times they were told.

Mike will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
