Barb was the most wonderful Cousin in the world. She was a precious Christian, in all ways. I miss her very much; but, know one day we will, all, be in Eternity with our Jesus forever. My dear family, you are in my thoughts and prayers, every day.

I will always remember her visits to my Grandpa & Grandmas house when I was a kid. One time while we were fishing down at the pond, we were sitting on the pier and she starts to sing "Fishy fishy in the brook, fishy fishy bite my hook..." I've ALWAYS remembered that since I was 6 years old! She was a great lady, with a great sense of humor and a beautiful soul. She will be missed. Prayers to the family during their time of grief.

Our deepest sympathies for your loss. We are tested and judged on earth by our God. We face many trials that test our faith. For we our here for such a short time and the kingdom of God is forever. We are all sinners but if we never turn away from God we will enter the kingdom. Barbara kept her faith and is with our lord. She was great lady and always welcomed us at her home in Vernon, Texas.

Dear Roddy, Scott, Cindy, Susan and the entire family:

There are no words to adequately express how sorry and saddened I am for the tragic loss of someone so dear. Barb was very strong and a true miracle of joy as she was warm, kind and inspired everyone who knew her to be a better, more caring person; one who would give, rather than take; and loved making a difference in the lives of people who she met in her journey of life. She had the ability to make strangers feel like friends, and friends feel like family. Her magnificent memories will keep me strong as I trust they will for anyone who knew her. May God's grace continue to strengthen each of us during this difficult time.

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

Barb will always hold a special place in my heart.

My deepest regards and sincere condolences,

~Dorrie (Dora Shreffler)

Phil.3:14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Barbara praised her Lord throughout her fight with cancer. She has her prize now which is Jesus.
