Bettie (Warren) Galloway
GREENVILLE - Bettie Warren Galloway, 81, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 7 pm at Smith Funeral Service.
Bettie, daughter of the late Norman and Mary Warren, was a lifelong resident of Pitt County, and retired from Burroughs Wellcome. An avid reader, Bettie loved to dance, play bingo, attend gospel singings, and Christmas was her favorite time of the year. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Tiffany Jones; sister, Peggy Forbes; and brothers, Joey and Jimmy Warren.
She is survived by her children, Donald "Chuck" Jones, Jr. and friend, Debbie, Carla Ahearn and husband, Paul, and Jodi Gilreath and husband, Christopher, all of Greenville; grandchildren, Chase Jones, Zach Jones and wife, Emma, Lindsi Ahearn, Joshua Ahearn and wife, Taylor, Brittany Shrout and husband, Ryan, Caitlyn Baker and husband, Chris, and Ashton Gilreath; great-grandchildren, Ares, Eren, Lucy, Jack, Kinsley, Emelyn, and Kayla; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Service League of Greenville Hospice House, c/o ECU Health Foundation, PO Box 8489, Greenville, NC 27835.
