Eugene Plotkin

Mr. Eugene Plotkin, 87, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2 pm in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel by Rabbi Nicole Luna. Burial will be in New York at a later date. Mr. Plotkin was a native and longtime resident of New York. Prior to graduating from the Brooklyn College of Pharmacy, Eugene proudly served in the United States Army. He then dedicated his working life to practicing Pharmacy for more than 40 years. He then moved to North Carolina making his home in Greenville for the last 20 years. He was a member and former president of Congregation Bayt Shalom in Greenville. He also was a member of the Pitt Golden K Kiwanis Club. Eugene will be fondly remembered for his compassionate and strong nature, his intelligence and overwhelming sense of humor. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by many who knew and loved him. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Molly Schwartz Plotkin, two sisters; and a brother. He is survived by his: wife of 63 years, Mildred Gold Plotkin, of Greenville; son, Daniel Plotkin; grandchildren, Sarena, Shayna and David, all of Chester, NY; and nieces, Deborah and Ellen, both of NY.
