Gayane Khachatryan Obituary

Gayane Khachatryan, 82, of Grifton, passed away on June 5, 2013 at Vidant Medical Center. Gayane, who was known to so many as "Mom from Greg's Pizza" in Grifton, was born in Salonika, Greece on Dec. 29, 1930. She was preceded in death by a son, Greg Khachatryan in 2009. Gayane was a member of Holy Apostle Greek Orthodox Church in Winterville and for many years worked along side her family at their restaurant, Greg's Pizza, in Grifton.
Gayane is survived by her son, Staphen Khachatryan and his wife, Anna, of South Carolina; four grandsons, Zorab, Maxim, Haik and Arsan Khachatryan; a daughter-in-law, Aida Galystan, of the home and three great grandchildren. She also leaves behind cousins and family in Armenia who will remember her fondly.
Funeral service will be held today at 1 p.m. at Holy Apostle Greek Orthodox Church, located in the Winterville Ruritan Building, 2668 Church St., Winterville. Entombment will follow after the service at Evergreen Memorial Estates, Grifton.

So Sorry to hear she passed away. I transported her to her Dialysis treatments for a few months. She was a very nice lady.
