Patrick Nassef Obituary

Patrick L. Nassef/ WINTERVILLE - Mr. Patrick Lee "Pat" Nassef, 57, died Friday, August 22, 2008. A graveside service will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the New Bern Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Nassef, a native of Craven County, had been a resident of Pitt County for the past 20 years. He was a graduate of Pamlico High School and Holden Tech of Raleigh. For 15 years he was employed with Texas Gulf, and most recently was employed with DSM Pharmaceutical. Pat was an avid golf player and was a member of the Maccripine Country Club in Macclesfield. He had played in golf tournaments such as one sponsored by the Cody Blue Foundation, which helps kids attend North Carolina State University and brings fire safety awareness to college campuses. He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Bertha Dixon Nassef. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Linda Ipock Nassef; daughter, Tina Marie Nassef of Roanoke, Va.; son, Patrick Lee Nassef Jr. of Winterville; sisters, Phyllis Shuffler of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Debbie Britt of New Bern; and brother, Philip Nassef Jr. of Chocowinity. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Greenville and other times at the home.

It was an extreme honor and pleasure to meet Mr. Nassef and have him as a part of our lives and our tournament. I hope he finds our Cody in God's great Heaven and they can watch over us all. Heartfelt sympathy to you and the entire family. Cannot imagine how much Pat will be missed in your lives. From a co-worker point of view, the talent and skills that he demonstrated at DSM will surely be missed. His calm spirit and technical ability has left a gap.

i just can't believe pat is gone. i haven't seen pat in 20 years or so but he was still a friend who i often thought about.to all the family all i can say is i'm so sorry this has happened .we don't alway's understand what happens so we just look to the good thing's we shared with pat in his and our life. god bless all of you in this time of need an just be there for each other.
