Florence Eaves Obituary

GALESBURG - Florence Mae "Jeri" Eaves, 93, Galesburg, died at 1:48 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2018, at home.

She was born May 3, 1925, in Austin, Minnesota, the daughter of Daniel C. and Doris (Chapman) Hall. She married E.W. "Jerry" Eaves in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2003.

She is survived by two children, Kenny Eaves of Galesburg and Linda Graves of Corona, California; granddaughter Alexis (Tony) Barile and their twins, Howie and Kendra (8) of Corona; and granddaughter Christine (Brian) Lising and children, Bailey (14), Peyton (13) and Hudson (9 months) of Yorba Linda, California.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard Hall.

Jeri graduated from Austin High School in Minnesota and Brown's Business College in Galesburg. She worked in receiving at Sears for many years. She then worked on the production line at Gale Products for several years before retiring.

Jeri was of the Baptist faith. She was an active person who enjoyed gardening and reading. She loved pets. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister and daughter.

Cremation will be accorded. No visitation or service is planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the Knox County Humane Society. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is handling arrangements for the family. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
