Raymond Roulin Obituary

ROULIN, RAYMOND J. SR. Raymond J. Roulin, Sr., 84, of Torrington, CT, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Beverly Jane (Justus) Roulin. The son of the late Fritz and Leona (Condon) Roulin, Ray was born February 23, 1929. He was employed by the City of Torrington with the Public Works Department for 37 years and was a member of the Sokol Club. He is survived by three children and five grandchildren, Raymond Roulin, Jr. of Torrington and his children Raymond Roulin, III, Tammie Goulet, Christina Roulin; Laurie Zordan of Torrington and her son Craig Zordan; Darlene Roulin of Goshen and her son Derek Larmett, Jr.; one brother Richard Sudusky; three great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, John Gemetro. Ray`s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Jamie Bennett and to Molli Byron for the exceptional care given to him at his home, as well as to the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital 4th Floor staff for the compassion and care shown to Ray and to his family. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, with the cortege leaving at 8:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday evening, February 10, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children`s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Litchfield Hills NW Elderly Nutrition Program, 88 East Albert St., Torrington, CT 06790.
