WATERTOWN - On June 29, 2025, my precious lovebird, Joseph Paul Murphy, Jr., decided to fly to Heaven. With profound sadness, I wish him Godspeed. God bless you my precious Irishman. I love you more than life.
Joe will be forever missed by me, his wife, Ronyeen Murphy; our children, Colleen Brunner (Bob), Lisa Alves (Jack), Laureen Laramie (Jay), Tracy Hungerford (Chip), and Shawn Murphy (Shelley); our fur babies, Kate and Maggie; our extended daughters, Heather Terry (Jeff), Terry Radauskas, Cindy Radauskas, Gayle Clark (Gino) and Patti Taft; our grandchildren, Will, Grace, Travis and Tessa Hungerford, Micheal and Gabriella Alves, Brooke and Michaela Kuehn, MacKenzie and Emily Laramie, Breana Shook (Michangelo Sorbara), Erica Femenella (Jon), Alexa Pantani (Jake); and our great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Julian and Haille Femenella and Olivia Pantoni.
Joe was born December 30, 1940, to Helen and Irving Murphy, but was raised from birth by his grandparents, John and Mary McDonald. During his life, he was employed by Connecticut Light and Power and the Town of Watertown's schools, highway division and park and recreation department.
There are no services, in honor of Joe's wishes. A private memorial celebration will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hickcox Funeral Home.
