Claudia Tidwell Obituary
Munday, TX
Claudia (Reed) Tidwell, of Munday, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016, at the age of 71. She was born May 21, 1945 in Knox City to Claude and Gladys (Williams) Reed. She and Joe Tidwell were married June 3, 1963 in Knox City.
Claudia always put others before herself. She adored Joe. Spending time with her family was a favorite pastime. She loved a house full of friends and family with a welcoming hug for all who entered through their doors. Claudia's greatest legacy to her family is her servants heart. She loved children and was an active part of children's ministry. She was known for her generous way of providing for others' needs-often anonymously to that person. Claudia's beautiful heart spilled out into her home and her flowerbeds.
Claudia is survived by her loving husband, Joe of Munday; three sons, James and wife, Lori of Tom Bean, Doug and wife, Lianne of Munday and David and wife, Jennifer of Pottsborro; one sister, Linda and husband C.H. Underwood of O'Brien; eight grandchildren, Erin and husband, Drew, Mason, Dalton, Trey, Grace, Justin, Jacob and Claire, one great-grandchild, Ellie.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Sunday, August 28, 2016, at the funeral home in Munday. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 29, 2016 at 1:00 PM, at the First Baptist Church in Munday with Shannon Waters officiating. Internment will follow in the Knox City Cemetery under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home.
