Deborah (Debbie) Jean Thomas died at her home in Reno on Monday, October 14, 2013 at the age of 60 with her husband and two daughters by her side after a very recent cancer diagnosis. Debbie was born on August 18, 1953 in Sunnyvale, California and moved to Reno in 1975. She is survived by Larry her husband and partner of 42 years, daughters Jennifer Thomas and Casey Gustafson, son-in-law Dan Gustafson, grandsons Keller Gustafson and Tolan Gustafson, sister Cathi Baird and brother-in-law Chuck Baird. Debbie was one of the most kind and thoughtful people you could ever meet and she will always be remembered for being an incredible hostess. She also had an intense love for her pets particularly her Rottweilers. Unfortunately she was preceded in death this year by her cat Nala and Bull Mastiff Stella. We know that all of the pets she lost were waiting for her at the Rainbow Bridge and that she is finally reunited with her parents Don and Cecelia. Celebration of life to be held Saturday, November 2nd. Please contact Casey or Larry for details. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the National Arbor Day Foundation in Debbie's honor. We love you with all our hearts! You will be missed more than words can say!

So sorry to hear of this. All the memories we had growing up camping and going to Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm with the families for our 3 weeks vacation, all the boating on the delta. May you rest pain free now. Prayers are being said for the family.

Gosh Debbie....I loved you so much. I am missing you already. You were so good to me when we had our little talks this past few years. I wish I could have hugged you. To Larrry, Jennifer and Casey....I am so sorry for your loss. I feel your broken hearts. Stay close, stay strong...for now just eat, breathe, and sleep as best you can. I love you all so dearly, and oh how I wish we still had her. I imagine she is playing with beloved pets right now. So I will end this sappy note from my favorite Christmas card..."love and licks, from Stevie Nicks" holding you tight....praying for you with all my might....please, please, please....be sososo good to yourselves.....love always, hazel
