Gary was born December 15, 1950 in Hayward, Ca. He served in the Air Force Reserves before getting into the lumber industry where he worked for over 30 years. Gary first worked at Sequoia Supply in Fairfield, Ca. He settled in the Reno, Nevada area and became well know in the northern Nevada building industry, working for Logan Lumber, BMC West and Kents Supply.
Gary loved to hunt and fish and was an athlete playing football and baseball in his younger years. Gary was a humorous person who loved to entertain and make people laugh. He was a gentle and sincere person who had a big heart that was always open to everyone he met. We will miss his smile and laugh.
At his request no services will be held.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the home of John and Gloria Thompson, 387 Gardenia Circle, Fairfield, Ca. on November 16, 2013 starting at 7PM. Any questions call John or Gloria at (707)422-4562.

I worked with Gary in Crescent City and saw him a few times in Reno....but somehow lost touch. Was just searching for him with an old phone number I had and unfortunately ran across this sad news. Gary always made me laugh, missing my old friend and sorry I didn't get to say goodbye. Much love my friend may you rest in peace.

I just read in the Merchant Magazine about Gary's death. He and I go way back when he was with Sequoia and I sold him mouldings and millwork. A tough buyer but very fair. I remember striper fishing on the Sacramento River many times with him. My condolences to his family, a great guy!

Gary was a kind man who was always there for his friends.....an avid fisherman who taught me alot of techniques which I still use to this day! You will be missed.....God Bless You Gary!!
