George Francl Obituary
George Ernest Francl, loving Dad and Gramps entered into heaven surrounded by his daughter, son in law and grandchildren, on February 10, 2021 due to complications from Covid at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center.
George was born on August 1, 1941 in Los Angeles, California to George Francl and Margaret Francl. George was preceded in death by his wife Annelies; brothers Arzy Francl, Leroy Francl, and Joseph Francl. George is survived by his daughter Malinda Baldridge (Dan); grandchildren, Austin, Justin and Breanna Baldridge; brother Robert Francl as well as a niece and nephew and their families.
George aka Gramps wasn't the typical grumpy old Grandpa, but rather a giving and loving man of God. Gramps preferred to spend his time with his daughter, son in law and 3 grandchildren, volunteering at his home away from home Faith Alive Christian center.
Gramps was an avid collector of many things and he collected so much to give and expected nothing in return, just a few hours of your time to tell you about all things he was collecting.
Gramps will be remembered for his cologne baths that left a permanent memory in your nostrils, a much needed sense of humor, his steadfast morals, his willingness to share God and Jesus with anyone and everyone that would listen, true compassion for serving God thru volunteering, and his love and pride for his family especially his 3 grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date this summer.
