Janice Sandra Wright (DeArmond) moved from this world to the next unexpectedly on August 29, 2016 surrounded by her family. Jan was born on March 4th, 1941 to Sandena and Cecil DeArmond. She is preceded in death by her husband Les Wright. She is survived by her partner Tom Young, sister Louise Myers (Jimmy), along with her son Gary Wright (Elizabeth), and daughters Kelly Wiltsie (Dan), Donna Wright-Law (Rick), and Dana Wright. She was Noni to her 7 grandchildren Brandon, Tarah, Ryan, Abby, Garret, Tyler, and Alexandra. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews including David, Rosa, Penelope, and Parker Myers; Steve, Deise, Daniella, and Diana Myers.
Jan was born and raised in Sparks, NV and attended Sparks High School as part of the class of '59. She was a woman of many trades and spent time as a dental assistant, housewife, neighborhood babysitter, along with bartending and waitressing at her favorite spot Taylor Canyon in Elko, NV. She also enjoyed her time as a member of the Sparks chapter of the Sons of Italy. She was an original 'junk gypsy', antique connoisseur, and social butterfly. She was the Italian matriarch and pillar of her family. She is beloved by those lucky enough to have spent time with her and will be forever missed and held in the hearts of her family.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 11:00 am located at the Mountain View Mortuary with a burial and reception to follow; along with many great stories and treasured memories. There will be a viewing 30 minutes prior to the service. The reception will be held at Pinocchio's Bar and Grill in Sparks at 1:30 pm.

I recently learned of Janice's passing and send my sincere sympathy to her family. Our parents lived across Prater Way from each other for many years and Janice and I spent time comparing notes on child raising.
