With fond memories of picnics in our oak shaded back yards in South Burlington, I remember Laurie as a sweet, kind little girl. I am gratified to read she grew into a loving wife, mother and friend as well as a favorite teacher. May god bless her family.

I worked with Laurie for three years at Alice Maxwell School. We became friends always talking about our sons and school. I would leave a donut on Laurie's desk in the morning. Every once in awhile there would be a nice little bag on my desk with a delicious donut inside! I am very sorry to hear of Laurie's passing. I have many sweet thoughts of her. May she rest in peace.

In scanning today's obituaries I noticed the name of Alice Maxwell Elementary School. I was a kindergarten student there the year Laurie was born. I am so sorry for everyone's loss. But, grateful for the fond and many memories her passing announcement has evoked from that year and those of Mrs. Ottie (who left early to have her first child) and Mrs. Davis (who completed the year and later would be my 4th grade teacher there).

I'm sure Laurie, too, created memories that will last a lifetime.
