Robert Pacheco Obituary

Robert Pacheco

October 18, 1944

January 11, 2017

Robert (Bob) Charles Pacheco passed away at home on January 11, 2017. Bob was born October 18, 1944 in Providence, Rhode Island to Charles and Rita (Rezendes) Pacheco. He moved to Reno with his family his senior year of high school where he attended Bishop Manogue, class of 1962. After high school Robert entered the United States Army, where in 1966 he was awarded the Highest Score Physical Training Award.

Bob was an extrovert and would strike up a conversation with anyone. Along with this personality trait came the gift of great volume. Robert's speaking voice was one of legend. In his favorite vacation spot, the small town of San Felipe, Mexico it is said that if a person wanted to know if Bob was in town they need only to drive into town, roll down their car window and listen. Bob's joyful banter would alert all passersby of his presence. Extroversion aided Bob in his career of estate and insurance planning, allowing him to build lasting relationships with many clients.

Robert is survived by his wife of 40 years Anita Pacheco; Robert and Anita's sons Michael and wife Siobain, Stephan with Tiffany, and Chris; Robert's granddaughters Ciara and Maeve; his sisters Nancyann Leeder (Mark Williams), Anne Louise Bennett (Michael), and Elizabeth Aguilar (Dugan); daughters Cathleen and Katherine; sister in law Jessie Storer (David); and a plethora of nieces, nephews and loved ones who all miss their Uncle Bob.

A celebration of Robert's life will be held at 10 am on February 10, 2017 at Bartley Ranch Regional Park in the Western Heritage Interpretive Center. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Sierra Club at http://www.sierraclub.org/.

Dear Anita... Bob was both a friend and business associate and there were few dull moments in either capacity. Dudie and I enjoyed our travels together with you and Bob and Christmas cards through the years kept us in touch.

May God provide his love and blessings on you and your family and welcome Bob into his kingdom..
