Bob was unexpectedly called by God from his earthly home the morning of January 19, 2013. He was 45 years old. Bob was born in Reno May 21, 1967 to John W. and Cheryl Shields. He graduated from Hug High School in 1985, went to UNR, and later received an Associate Degree from Career College of Northern Nevada in computer repair and electronic technology. He was most recently employed by Innotrac as a business analyst.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife Sharen; stepson Ralph Dennis (Jamie) of Wheeling, WVA; mother Cheryl, brothers John E. and Douglas Shields, all of Reno; sister Dorene Kehm of Shasta, CA; niece Charleen Shelby (Jeff) and great-niece and nephew Daitonah and Brenton Shelby, of Ft. Worth, TX; an uncle in California and numerous cousins in CA and AZ. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.

I can still see your awesome smile, hear your wonderful laughter and your funny jokes. The patience in teaching me and anyone that wanted to hear of God's love. You had only stepped into my heart for a short period of time. You shall always be there. God created a love in our heart's for one another that will last a lifetime. Honey, I had always said to you that once God made you his perfection was done. One day we will dance again. What a day that will be. Jesus thank you for blessing me with the perfect helpmeet, amen. I am left with tears leaving their sting on my cheeks from missing you. But knowing Jesus is here embracing me through them all. I know we will meet again. I love you honey so very much.
